Many investors lack the understanding and confidence to have an educated conversation with their financial advisor and team. The majority just do what is recommended and hope for the best. Furthermore, once they have accumulated assets and begin to set up more complicated structures, they struggle with the complexity and potentially miss opportunities to optimize performance. Annise audits activity from a portfolio, tax, and estate perspective, informing users of their financial well being, enabling users to make reasoned decisions and giving them the confidence to lead the conversation with their team of financial advisors. It brings the power of a sophisticated Family Office team to more investors.
Solution
We have been working closely with the founder of Annise since inception. Starting with sketches and handwritten ideas, we helped define the concept of Annise, branding, tone of voice and personas. We then specified the detailed requirements and developed the user experience and user interface. Additionally, we designed a scalable backend architecture of micro services to deliver a range of features around: Permission Management; Product/Pricing Models; User and Family Office Management; Assets Management and Account Linking; Cashflow, Analytics and Reporting; Alerts and Notifications; Data Lake with Exchange and Security Data. The power of Annise comes from combining all types of information and events from internal and external sources so it almost becomes a personal assistant focussed on the financial well being of the user. Annise uses all the information in the platform to create meaningful alerts, notifications, reports and will provide insights with state of the art Data Science, Machine Learning and AI. Ballast Lane Applications uses Plaid to be able to connect to user's investment accounts to get all the information about their investment holdings and transactions.
