Get Your Nest: Real Estate
Comprehensive real estate mobile app, client website and admin portal, designed to streamline the process of buying property.
Opportunity
Get Your Nest is a Phoenix-based home buying company that was born from the desire to help people buy homes on-demand with the lowest fees possible. This is accomplished through their app that presents potential homes for sale, schedules an on-demand tour, makes an offer, and then closes quickly and easily. For home buyers, viewing a real estate listing can be cumbersome, disorganized, and time-consuming, with a lot of back and forth with an agent who in turn interacts with the property listing’s agent. These activities occur via phone calls, messaging, and accessing real estate listing portals. Get Your Nest facilitates all of this in one simple mobile application and also does not require the homeowner to formally have a real estate agent representing them.
Solution
Starting in early 2022, Ballast Lane Application deployed a design and engineering team to provide a product reset for Get Your Nest. This included a revamp of the product from re-design to full implementation of two new mobile applications (one for the consumer and the other for the service provider), a client website, and an administrative website. An assessment and decision to use Flutter by the technical team helped achieve development benefits for the mobile application. The product team worked hand in hand with the client to create functional and useful features that are both foundational and first-to-market to the real estate business. For example, viewing requests are made in the mobile application by the customer, where an instant response by the service provider can confirm with the customer on property they wish to view. This process can be as quick as within the same hour to view a property. The same seamless function can be done with offers for a property and the process is done all within the mobile application, and the best part is potential home buyers save 50% of the commission fees. All of this was accomplished with an optimistic project schedule, and the app went live in September 2022. We are continuing to create new features and refine existing ones. The availability of the mobile application has expanded beyond Arizona. We are excited for the team at Get Your Nest and continue to work closely with them to help them achieve their business goals.
