Opportunity

Prescriber Point is a platform that supports providers in getting patients on therapy faster. Users can take advantage of the platform's easy-to-use design to, among other things, get prescription drug information and facilitate sample requests and prior authorization. Taking into account the medication and therapy costs in the United States, many doctors are having a hard time prescribing the right treatment to their patients, which can be prohibitively expensive. Getting the patient the right treatment with financial assistance can be riddled with obstacles. Prescriber Point’s free platform is used to reduce these obstacles by providing services like: • Prior authorizations and financial assistance support • Sample request support • Manufacturer sales rep support • Label and prescribing information • Collaboration support with colleagues

Solution

Starting in early 2022, Ballast Lane Applications deployed a team to finalize the minimum viable product (MVP). The BLA team started with Frontend and Backend Engineers and has since expanded to include DevOps and Designers. The team was able to get the MVP completed on time, which helped Prescriber Point receive funding to continue building the platform. The team continues to work on building the platform and is currently in the phase of connecting more secure login using Auth0, revamping the design, implementing AI to support the processes, connecting to various 3rd party systems, and starting to implement advertisement and subscriptions for users. The objective is to have software that is easy to use, performant, and meets the needs of multiple types of users (Doctors, Patients, and Pharmaceutical companies).
