Opportunity
Scenthound goes beyond basic grooming by offering breed-specific health and hygiene services for dogs. Trained groomers, technicians, and hygienists follow a standardized blueprint across over 96 locations in the US. They are building out a suite of tools to help their franchisees interact with their customers through a mobile application and web-based tools to help manage the entire lifecycle from customer booking, through wellness checks and follow-up visits.
Solution
Ballast Lane Applications initially deployed a small development and data engineering team to address specific requirements with the main customer application and data sources integration. Over time the team has expanded to include quality assurance consulting and implementation, additional engineers to accelerate development of a new product and additional data visualization for franchise managers. The team is involved in the day to day product development, including manual testing across all products, building the cloud infrastructure for data synchronization, rewriting and consolidating REST API’s and writing and supporting high-quality frontend code that enables the client to create great experiences for their clients and internal users.
