AWS Associate Certified, Ready to Bring our Infrastructure to the Next Level

When it comes to using Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the infrastructure provider, our Ballast Lane Applications DevOps team has a reputation for delivering clean solutions that follow the best practices available on the market. Now, we are proud to announce that the entire team has been certified at the Associate level with SAA-C03 and DVA-C02 certification.

This certification is one more step in our effort to continuously improve our skills in an area that is critical in the development cycle, and gets us closer to other certifications that our team members have in their sights at the AWS Professional and Specialty levels.

Our focus on the AWS platform now is on Machine Learning, Security, Data Analytics, Advanced Networking and Databases, as these are the topics in which we want to continue to design cutting-edge solutions for our clients. We know that the future of the infrastructure greatly depends on them and that maintaining the focus on the main AWS specialties will help us achieve success when the complexity of the solutions increases.

What does the AWS Associate Certification include?

The certification achieved included:

• Knowledge and skills in:
  • computing, networking, storage, and database AWS services as well as AWS deployment and management services
  • deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS as well as implementing security controls and compliance requirements
  • using the AWS Management Console and the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI)
• Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, AWS networking, security services, and the AWS global infrastructure
• Ability to identify which AWS services meet a given technical requirement and to define technical requirements for an AWS-based application
• Experience working in a developer role with in-depth knowledge of at least one high-level programming language
• Strong on-premise IT experience and understanding of mapping on-premise to cloud
• Experience working in other cloud services
