How we are great at slotting in, like a puzzle piece, to compliment our clients’ product development needs
Coming into the new year, we are asking our current and potential clients:
- Are there things you wanted to do last year but didn’t get the chance?
- Do you have priorities for this year that you want to act on?
Your budget doesn’t have to be huge, especially if you want a proof of concept or MVP that can then be used to secure clients, or additional funding, or approval from senior leadership. Perhaps you have a team in-house but they are fully allocated, or you don’t want to distract them, or they don’t have the right skills.
The project can be anywhere from one month to forever (once you start working with us you might never stop!). The team could be one person (unlikely), or a small, nimble full time or partially allocated team of necessary functions, such as design, Delivery Manager, Development, QA.
At Ballast Lane, we fill needs for our clients that might otherwise remain in the queue. Here are two recent examples:
- A Professional Services firm had a new product they wanted to build, and the budget for an MVP. They didn’t have a team they could allocate to it and didn’t want to spin up a new team for something that might not have legs. We have been working for this client for close to 4 months now and it is ongoing. We deployed a full team to build the MVP that is being used to sell the product to customers for further funding. This included the following roles: Delivery Manager, Product Analyst, Data Analyst, Backend Developers (Python), Frontend (Angular), and DevOps.
- An imaging company that needed help with a mobile app and a task management system, to include offline functionality, but they didn’t have resources in-house. We worked with this company for 6 months. Roles included: Flutter Mobile, Frontend (React), Backend (Python), DevOps to work with an on-site server, Delivery Manager and Product Analyst.
What are you waiting for? The year will be half over before you know it!
